In order to ensure our female clients of personalized, professional care that is focused on their specific needs, Medisys’ Women’s Executive Health program was designed by female physicians for women.

At Medisys, all clients are able to choose between a male and a female Executive Health physician, and our specialists in women’s health are well positioned to provide informed advice on a range of women’s health issues. As well, our protocols are gender-specific, ensuring that both men and women are able to benefit from the most sophisticated tests currently available. For female clients, Medisys’ Executive Health & Lifestyle Assessment includes the following:

• Gynaecological examination + PAP smear test (liquid)
• Evaluation of risk factors associated with breast, colon, gynaecological cancer
• Quality-of-life counselling: pre-menopausal, menstrual syndrome, fertility, osteoporosis, etc.
• Ferritin (to help diagnose iron deficiency)
• Mammography (>40 yrs)

For our Toronto-based clients, Medisys’ specialized services for women also include a women’s medical imaging unit at 123 Edward Street (located near University and Dundas), should additional testing be required. Staffed by experienced female radiologists, gynaecologists and technologists who specialize in a wide range of medical imaging procedures for women, this unit provides increased comfort, privacy and medical expertise. This facility specializes in the following procedures for women:

• Mammography

  • Pelvic
  • Abdominal
• Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
