Terry Power is the Chief Executive Officer of Medisys Health Group, Canada’s largest preventive healthcare provider comprising Medisys Executive Health, Medisys Executive Health, Horizon Occupational Health Solutions, and Copeman Healthcare Centres. Medisys Health Group is Canada’s leading provider of executive benefits, occupational health, employee health & wellness services, and individual preventive health services. Terry builds on two decades of leadership experience across diverse industries.
Terry led the creation of Canada’s largest HR solutions and staffing company and was instrumental in the formation of Medisys Health Group as the former CEO Horizon Occupational Health Solutions, a division of Medisys Health Group. Terry is the former President of the National Association of Computer Consulting Businesses (NACCB) and The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. He is the former chairman of the board of The Canadian Coalition for Tomorrow’s ICT Skills and the Sky’s The Limit children’s charity. He is a former member of the board of directors of The Information Communications Technology Council of Canada and the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC). Terry holds degrees from North Atlantic and the Richard Ivey School of Business.
VICE PRESIDENT, SHARED SERVICES, MEDISYS HEALTH GROUP
Chris Hilborn is the Group VP Shared Services for Medisys Health Group. Chris leads Project Delivery, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Procurement, Real Estate, Planning and revenue capture and retention through the Call Center.
Chris is a seasoned leader with 22 years of experience in operations, information technology, marketing, procurement and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Medisys, Chris was the Director of Business Provisioning at Bell Canada where he significantly improved on time delivery of large telecom solutions while reducing the cost of delivering the solutions. Chris also led the Bell Mobility retention marketing team and was a founding member of the Bell Canada Value Creation team. Prior to Bell Canada, he was a management consultant with A.T. Kearney where he advised clients on matters of strategy, organization and operations. Chris has also worked as an engineer at Hatch Associates.
Chris holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto), and a B.SC. in Engineering from Queen’s University. He has a passion for health and wellness that is reflected in his work with the community. Chris currently coaches the local school’s Ultimate Frisbee team and has coached rep soccer for 8 years. He is the past Treasurer of the North York Harvest Food Bank. Chris is an avid runner and recently competed in the Boston Marathon.
Howard Goldstein, MD
CORPORATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR, MEDISYS EXECUTIVE HEALTH
Dr. Howard Goldstein serves as Corporate Medical Director for Medisys Executive Health. In this role, he provides leadership and sets direction for medical care in the company. Dr. Goldstein co-chairs Medisys’ national Medical Standards and Quality Committee, providing thought leadership and guidance to our national network of physicians and clinics.
Dr. Goldstein has over twenty-five years of experience with clinical, academic, and administrative care excellence. His clinical experience includes work in outpatient clinics, obstetrical care, hospital ward work, emergency room care, and geriatric long term care. In addition to his role as Corporate Medical Director, Dr. Goldstein is directly responsible for Medisys’ Montreal based executive health clinics. Prior to joining Medisys, Dr. Goldstein was Assistant-Chief of the Department of Family Medicine and director of an in-patient family medicine ward at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) in Montreal. Previously, he served as director of residency education for one of McGill University’s hospital based family practice training facilities. In addition, he was elected to and served on the JGH’s medical executive committee, as secretary-treasurer, and assisted with insuring appropriate care and quality services for the institution.
Dr. Howard Goldstein graduated from McGill University School of Medicine, as well as its Family Medicine residency program. He remains an Assistant Professor in the department of Family Medicine at McGill, and is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Family Practice.
VICE PRESIDENT, CENTRAL AND WESTERN OPERATIONS, MEDISYS EXECUTIVE HEALTH
Maida Valkenier is the Vice President, Central and Western Operations for Medisys Executive Health. In her role, she oversees the operations for all clinics in Western Canada, and is responsible for delivering the gold standard of service to our clients at the same time as producing clinical, administrative and financial results.
Complementing her responsibilities as Vice President, Central and Western Operations, Maida takes on the role of Corporate Clinical Director (CCD).
As CCD, Maida will work to align our clinical practices across the country, ensuring we are bringing the best care to our clients in a consistent manner, no matter where we serve them. With over 17 years’ experience in management, Maida has gained a wealth of knowledge across the healthcare spectrum. Her passionate personality and commitment to service excellence has her involved in every aspect of delivering an outstanding level of care.
Prior to joining Medisys, Maida served as an Operations Manager for several medical clinics in B.C. where she played an instrumental role in the expansion of six distinct clinics. Maida has mentored junior managers in the healthcare field and spent a year serving as an assistant officer with a demining project in Bosnia. She sits on the National Medical Standards Committee of Canada.
VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS – EASTERN CANADA, MEDISYS EXECUTIVE HEALTH
Michelle Cialdella is the VP Operations, Eastern Canada for Medisys Executive Health. In her role, she is responsible for directing all eastern clinics, delivering the gold standard of service to Medisys’ clients, and acquisition integration.
Michelle has gained an impressive degree of experience as a leader in operations, customer care, marketing, communication, and sales. Prior to joining Medisys, Michelle acted as a consultant, specialized in operations and change management. She has worked extensively for Bell Canada, where she led teams through the corporation’s transformation, and managed the sales, marketing and operations for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and the Bell Canada Enterprise market space.
Michelle has also worked as the Customer Care Director for Group Benefit and Group Retirement Services at Sun Life Financial (Canada). Michelle holds a business degree from the École des Sciences de la Gestion at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Actively involved in the local youth ski community, Michelle sits on the Board of Directors for the Club du Mont Olympia. She is also associated with the Fondation Mathieu-Lafond – an organization whose mission is to financially support non-profit projects that help at-risk youth in Québec.
Vivien Brown, MD
VICE-PRESIDENT, MEDICAL AFFAIRS, MEDISYS EXECUTIVE HEALTH
Dr. Vivien Brown is the Vice-President of Medical Affairs at Medisys Executive Health, Medical Affairs and a recognized leader in her field as an outstanding family physician and a pioneer in raising awareness for women’s health issues on a national and international scale. She was awarded Family Physician of the Year Award 2012 by the Ontario College of Family Physicians. Dr. Brown is responsible for creating and leading a strategic initiative on promoting women’s health at Medisys.
Dr. Brown’s community work and affiliations on numerous bodies related to the health care of Canadians brings valuable insights and leadership including an appointment to the Faculty Advisory Board of McGill Medical School and as President of the Federation of Medical Women in Canada (FWMC). Dr. Brown also represents family physicians on the board of Immunize Canada, and best practices in the public sphere have been integrated into our Medisys programs.
Dr. Brown is responsible for our corporate support of the Women’s Brain Health Initiative (WBHI), a not for profit organization, dedicated to raising awareness as well as increasing research on women’s brain health.

Sheldon Elman, MD
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, MEDISYS HEALTH GROUP
Dr. Elman opened his first clinic in 1987 with the goal of treating health issues before they become medical problems, not once they are diagnosed. Over the years, Dr. Elman made it his mission to provide his patients with the highest quality care and oversaw Medisys’ growth from a single-office provider of executive health services to Canada’s leading national corporate healthcare service provider with clinics nationwide.
Despite being the Executive Chairman of Medisys Health Group and actively serving on several boards, Dr. Elman is still a practicing physician who always puts his patients first. “I want to make sure we are offering our patients the latest, cutting edge technology and equipment and leading evidence-based medical treatments, advice and care in a way that is as comfortable, personalized, and as comprehensive as it can be.”
