WHAT TO EXPECT

When you meet with a Medisys travel expert, you’ll be asked for details about your trip and your current health status. You’ll receive medical guidance specific to your travel plans and tips on staying healthy while travelling abroad. The health professional may also recommend vaccinations and prescribe travel-related medications to prevent or treat certain ailments, such as malaria, travellers’ diarrhea and altitude sickness.

ARE THE FEES COVERED?

The Canadian public health system doesn’t cover the fees associated with travel health consultations, but many private insurance companies may cover your vaccine costs in whole or in part. We provide you with a detailed receipt for insurance purposes

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

It’s a good idea to visit a Medisys Travel Health Clinic 6 to 8 weeks before your departure. But if that deadline has already come and gone, there are accelerated versions of some vaccines that offer you protection – even at the last minute.

A SINGLE SOURCE OF ADVICE

Simplify your health-related errands by using a Medisys Travel Health Clinic, a single source that offers all the products, services and advice you need. Our clinics are even certified yellow fever vaccine providers as designated by Health Canada. Plus we always have the latest travel advisories for any destination.

WHAT VACCINES DO I NEED?

It depends. Medisys Travel Health Clinics provide you with the information needed to make informed decisions about your risks. During your visit, you will be given recommendations with regards to your individual risk levels.
